« C’is half of the government moving to Algiers! Behind the scenes of bilateral diplomacy between Paris and Algiers, we like to insist on the number of ministers – sixteen! – who will accompany Élisabeth Borne for her first visit abroad, Sunday 9 and Monday 10, on the occasion of the Franco-Algerian High Level Intergovernmental Committee (CIHN), a sort of mini-summit between ministers of the two countries, launched in 2012 by François Hollande to support cooperation. A real baptism of fire for a Prime Minister with a rather economic profile and little confronted with the tightrope walking exercises of France-Algeria diplomacy.
