Tamilachi Silambam Training School was running for 4 years in Villupuram Kamadenu Nagar. Later, due to lack of space, the Cymbal training school was running in the playground located in the Perundita campus.
Students come to this Silamba school from many areas around Villupuram. Tamilachchi Anbarasi, who has completed his M.A. in English, has been learning the cylamba for the last 10 years and has since started a cylamba training school.

The students trained at Tamilachi Silambam School participated in the Invitational Asia-level Silambam Open Championship 2022 organized by the World Silambam Martial Arts Association at the Decathlon Sports Ground, Mukapper, Chennai on October 01.10.22 – 02.10.22 in which more than 800 athletes from various districts participated.
33 players from Villupuram Tamilachi Silambam Training School participated in the competition. 3 students won the first place in this trainees’ defensive series chilambam competition, followed by other players who won the 2nd and 3rd place.

A total of 21 flute players from this school emerged victorious. In this, Viji Ayyappan, Neka Sri and Vashikaran, who won the first position, have qualified to participate in the International Chilamba Competition to be held in Singapore. Medals and certificates were given to the players who won the competition.

Participation certificates were awarded to the non-winners. Villupuram District Superintendent of Police Sree Natha felicitated the players who took the oath of victory and presented certificates at the District Superintendent of Police office today.
