A suspect has been arrested in the case of the murder of an Indian-origin family in the state of California, USA.

Investigation revealed that the suspect had an enmity with the family for over a year.

An Indian-origin family of four, including a child, was abducted and killed at gunpoint in California. The family, including the child, were found dead in the garden two days later.

Police arrested Jesus Manuel Salgado, who is believed to be the main culprit, after identifying the suspects through footage recorded on a security camera installed in the family’s home.

Investigation revealed that he was a former employee of the family’s business and that he and the family had a long-standing dispute.

Relatives of the slain family told investigators that Jesus Salgado, 48, sent angry text messages or e-mails a year ago after working at their trucking business, Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke said.

Salgado kidnapped an 8-month-old baby, her parents and her uncle at gunpoint in Merced on Monday, killed them, and left their bodies in an almond orchard, authorities said.
