ABU DHABI: Changes in the Law on Employment Contracts in the UAE. The new amendment was announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Indigenization of the country. The new provision aims to make the employee-employer relationship more healthy.

Henceforth employment contracts in the country must stipulate a fixed period of time for which it is applicable. The law also allows extension of this period as per the terms of the agreement agreed by both the parties. However, no restrictions have been introduced for the duration of the contract.
