Christian Bale has announced his retirement from acting. Apart from acting there are many other things he wants to pursue. He said that he does not want to put them aside and live as someone else.
It is time to end his acting career. He wants to do something that has nothing to do with cinema. Live without dressing up and pretending to be someone else. He remained in the cinema for so long because of taking care of his family and having health problems. He added that there will always be a relationship with cinema.
Bale is gaining audience attention with hit films like The Dark Knight and Batman Begins. He entered the acting career at the age of 13. Steven Spielberg’s 1987 war film Empire of the Sun made a foray into this field. Apart from these, his roles as serial killer Patrick Bateman in the black comedy American Psycho and the title role in the psychological thriller The Machinist helped him gain more attention.
He portrayed Batman in the 2005 film Batman Begins. He then reprized the role in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. He also received praise from people all over the world for his acting in these films.
