Doha: FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited the main centers working as part of Qatar World Cup organization and assessed the activities and progress. Infantino visited Doha Exhibition Center (DEC), Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) and Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). After the visit, Infantino expressed confidence that Qatar will host the best World Cup in FIFA World Cup history. But to achieve all this, off the pitch must also be world-class. And we can know that we will witness it. One thing can be said without a doubt from what we saw today, what Qatar has given in the eight beautiful venues is what Qatar has set outside the stadiums – said Infantino.
Infantino said he would like to thank Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the people of Qatar for what they have done for the World Cup in the past and that the World Cup is only weeks away. The tournament office, main operations centre, IT command centre, main volunteer center and accreditation center are all located at the DEC near Qatar. The DECC in West Bay will house the main ticketing center for the duration of the tournament and the HAYA center. The QNCC in Al Rayyan will house the headquarters of media from different parts of the world, the international broadcasting center and the main media center.
