Manichitra Dhal is one of the films that gave the industry hype by acting genius Mohanlal and director Faasil. The audience embraced a psychological thriller that had not been seen in Malayalam cinema till then. This is also a film that has amazed everyone with its songs and acting skills.
The film was released in 1993. The story of Madhu Mutt was being made into a movie. Suresh Gopi, Shobhana, Nedumudi Venu, Mohanlal, Innocent, KPAC Lalita and other big stars have lined up in the film. Although the film is an industry hit, there are many unknown stories that happened on its sets. Swarva Chitra Appachan, who is also the producer of the film, said one such thing. He was speaking in an interview given to a YouTube channel called Master Bin.

The real story of Manichitra Dhagam is Chathaner. With that comes the writer Madhu Muttam. Madhu has a room at Brother Lodge that day. It was just coming in there and developing it every evening, every evening. I never thought that Ever Lasting would become a movie – says Appachan.
I still remember its dubbing and it was in Joy Theatre. Lal returned after finishing the dubbing that evening. Pachika (Fasil) and I live together. At night, Mohanlal calls me. Fazi tells me that I need to dub it one more time and I am not satisfied.
