The world famous ICC T20 World Cup 2022 cricket series will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13. Although T20 Premier League series like IPL have come all over the world, this series was introduced in the year 2007 to decide the world champion of T20 cricket and now this series is being held for the 8th time in the history. In this series, the top 16 teams of the world, including Australia, who are the defending champions, and India, who are the number one T20 team in the world, will be competing for the trophy.

In this series, 8 teams like West Indies, Sri Lanka and Ireland are competing in the first round starting on October 16. The top 4 teams in both the 2 divisions will qualify for the Super 12 round. Following that, the main round of the Super 12, which starts with the current champion Australia-New Zealand on October 22, will be followed by the much-anticipated India-Pakistan match on October 23 in Melbourne.

Practice Matches:
After that, the top two teams in each of the 2 divisions of the Super 12 round will qualify for the semi-final round and the winning 2 teams will compete for the trophy in the grand final to be held in Melbourne on November 13. ICC has arranged for all the teams to play at least 1 practice match before the World Cup so that foreign teams like India can perform well under Australian conditions in this series which is going to be held like a festival.

India has already flown to Australia to prepare for this World Cup and has now started net training at the world famous WACA cricket ground.
