The youtubeur Squeezie broke the record for simultaneous views on a French-speaking channel on the Twitch streaming platform this Saturday. More than a million fans connected to follow his event live, the GP Explorer car race in which he participated alongside 21 other internet celebrities, including Seb La Frite, Amixem and Gotaga.

Its Formula 4 race (the smallest of the single-seater categories), which was organized this Saturday afternoon on the legendary Bugatti circuit in Le Mans, brought together nearly 40,000 spectators on site.

2.5 to 3 million euros

The Youtuber with 17.4 million subscribers announced the organization of this event during a live Twitch on April 5, according to HuffPost. Under the guidance of the training center of the French Federation of Automobile Sport, the FFSA Academy, Squeezie and his acolytes had passed the F4 license and followed several training sessions before the race.

The organization of this daunting project, filmed by a professional management having already covered F1 GPs and able to broadcast the event with cameras on board each single-seater in particular, cost between 2.5 and 3 million euros to the apprentices pilots, according to Squeezie.
