[Mis à jour le 8 octobre 2022 à 17h01] On the night of Friday October 7 to Saturday October 8, 2022, a brawl took place in the Hautes-Mardelles district in Brunoy, Essonne. A 20-year-old man was killed. Another was taken into custody. It would be the rapper YKM, reports Le Parisien. The 18-year-old is suspected of being the murderer of his best friend. He is currently heard by the judicial police of Versailles, in charge of the investigations.

What we do know is that the police intervened around 10:45 p.m. in the city of Hautes-Mardelles. The police were called to put an end to a brawl between young people. When they arrive at the scene of the tragedy, they discover a man on the ground taken care of by the firefighters. He was shot in the chest. Two other victims are to be deplored: one supported by his friends and another, injured with a knife, found in Villecresnes, in the Val-de-Marne.

According to a source close to the case, contacted by Le Parisien, “the situation was very tense because around fifty people from the neighborhood tried to enter the security perimeter”. This did not facilitate the intervention of the police, as Alliance union representative Claude Carillo confirmed: “The intervention at the scene of the homicide was very difficult for the police who had to deal with individuals who wanted to do justice to themselves.”

Thus, shortly before 6 a.m. this Saturday, YKM contacted the criminal service of the judicial police. The rapper says he is in danger after the story of his friend’s death made the rounds in his neighborhood. He assures him, he didn’t shoot him on purpose. He wanted to hit one of his attackers with the butt of a shotgun. The shot would have gone off on its own, according to him.

Contacted by Le Parisien, the mayor of Brunoy, Bruno Gallier, regretted this “absolute tragedy”. The first councilor of the town explained that he had “no visibility at the moment on what could have happened”. The mayor still has an idea of the problem in this case: “It seems, a priori, that this is not related to problems of fights between neighborhoods. It is a dramatic event which casts a negative image on a neighborhood where a majority of families aspire to live quietly.”
