Vadakancherry tourist bus accident; The detailed report will be handed over to the Transport Minister today

Thiruvananthapuram: The Transport Commissioner will hand over the detailed report of the Vadakancheri tourist bus accident to the Transport Minister today. Palakkad Enforcement RTO gave a detailed report to the Transport Commissioner yesterday evening. The 18-page report analyzed the cause of the accident, the circumstances and the violation. A digital reconstruction of the accident has also been attached to the report.

According to the report issued by the district transport office, the KSRTC driver was not at fault in the accident. The report states that the KSRTC bus was not speeding.

The tourist bus was reportedly traveling at a much higher than average speed at the time of the accident. Jomon, the driver of the tourist bus, had given a statement that the sudden braking of the KSRTC bus was the cause of the accident.

The KSRTC bus stopped 200 meters before the accident site to drop off the person and then resumed its journey. Therefore, there was no need to brake the bus again, according to the report.

On the 5th at 7:00 pm, a tourist bus leaving for an excursion from Mulanthurutthi Vettikkal Mar Baselius Vidyaniketan School collided with the back of a KSRTC bus in Vadakancheri. Nine people including a teacher and five students died in the accident. Three of the dead were KSRTC passengers.
