North Korea launched a ballistic missile a short time ago (midnight Israel time) towards the Sea of Japan. This is the seventh time North Korea has done this in the last two weeks.
During the day, South Korea and the United States held a naval exercise, involving an American aircraft carrier. On Thursday, the armies of the United States, South Korea, and Japan held trilateral exercises in view of the threat coming from North Korea.
Last night North Korea said Pyongyang’s missile test was “self-defense” against what it sees as threats from the US military.
