In her only interview with the Israeli media to Ron Fogel on the mako website, weeks before she died, Dean was asked if she was still modeling, and she answered: “Yes, but it’s a different modeling than what I used to do in my youth. I remember starting out and for a few years I worked around the clock with people who didn’t even speak to me, and I wore out pretty quickly. Today, when I’m an actress, I get feedback like ‘You did a good job’, ‘We were really impressed’. In modeling I was simply ignored. I think modeling is a very lonely profession. Today I hardly walk on a runway, but model for magazines and various products. I’m really picky and only choose projects that suit me.”

Later, Dean surprised us all when she was asked if she defines herself as an influencer with her answer: “Absolutely, absolutely not. I have friends who are influencers, but I don’t work to be one. I post whatever I want, and right now my Instagram probably looks the brightest in the world, with all The receptions and parties are here in Cannes, and I change prom dresses all the time, but I know that everything is temporary. Right now, I’m much more interested in the next film I’ll star in.”
