Kanimozhi has been appointed to the post following Subbulakshmi Jagatheesan’s resignation. This created excitement among the DMK cadres.

It is said in the party circles that Kanimozhi has got this huge position as a reward for her patience.

“If Kanimozhi wanted to give him an important post, he could have stirred up the issue and got it.

“However, he was patiently working for the party as his talent was recognized and he was given the post of party leader. The result is now available,” said some of the party executives.

“Kanimozhi, the roaring voice of Delhi, has been selected as one of the DMK’s new deputy general secretaries,” Stalin announced with aplomb while announcing Kanimozhi’s appointment.

Like Kanimozhi, Cooperative Minister I. Periyasamy, Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudi, DMK MP have been appointed as Deputy General Secretaries of DMK. He also called A. Raza and Andiyur Selvaraj with epithets.

Following this, Kanimozhi spoke fervently that “father Karunanidhi was not there and watched over his brother Stalin. I am ready to participate in all your struggles,” he said.
