Haute-Savoie: six stab wounds after an argument in the queue at a gas station

An attempted murder for gasoline. A man was remanded in custody on Friday suspected of having stabbed a motorist six times at a gas station in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Haute-Savoie. The victim is a 33-year-old man of Swiss nationality.

According to information from France Bleu Pays de Savoie, the facts took place this Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., as part of a conflict that broke out between two motorists in the station queue.

The suspect would not have appreciated that the driver, aboard a vehicle registered in Switzerland, passed him in front of the queue. An altercation ensued which degenerated and the man was stabbed six times in front of his two children.

The victim was rushed to the Geneva hospital center, where she is now out of danger. The main suspect was arrested and quickly acknowledged the facts to the gendarmes of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, in charge of the investigation. He is being prosecuted for attempted murder and was remanded to the Bonneville remand center in Haute-Savoie.
