TN Pratapan praises Mammootty’s ‘Roshakhi’.

TN Prathapan MP says that Mammootty is the wonder of the world in terms of acting excellence. Actor Mammootty is gaining momentum. Mammooka joining hands with new directors and writers and introducing new themes is a very decisive boost for Malayalam cinema. Mammootty has come to the scene with a note of appreciation after meeting Rosha.

Saw ‘Roshak’ yesterday. After seeing it, the first sentence that was uttered unconsciously was ‘This Mammooka is a human being’. Every time Mammootty is making his own with his exceptional star shine, so that there is no need to bail on ‘Mammooka’s old films…’. Mammootty is an actor who is always thirsting for newness and perfection, who seeks all the possibilities of acting. I have heard him or someone else say about the actor Mammootty that his ‘thirst to act is unquenchable’. ‘Roshak’ also saw a performance that had to be admitted to be true to the letter.
As an audience, what I experienced more than Mammooka’s Tanima in ‘Roshakhi’ and the two films before this was the innovation presented by Mammooka. Mammootty’s performance in ‘Bheeshmaparvatti’ and ‘Puzhu’ is not rooted in the unique Mammootty mannerism, but because of the new technical-techniques in the actor whose passion for acting doubles with age.
Even though I was very impressed by the politics of the film ‘Puzhu’, the visuals of actor Mammootty impressed me more than the theme of ‘Bhishma Parva’ and ‘Roshak’. Amal Neerad’s rendition of the repeated ‘Godfather’ reference in ‘Bhishma Parvam’ is a treat to watch. Even then, Mammooka’s feast captivates me. I am more interested in feel good movies. It may be because of the reluctance to invest more emotions in the film. Still I like other genre movies too. It needs other elements that are more impressive than the usual characteristics of the genre.
When it comes to ‘Roshak’, Mammootty is the most important factor that makes this movie my favourite. It would be unfair not to say that ‘Roshak’ is a good movie. Nizam Basheer created this story in a very interesting one line. ‘Ghosts always follow humans and take revenge. Why can’t you go back?’ It is The screenplay, the narration, the visuals, the background music, and the cinematography are beautifully done. Everyone who appeared in the movie with Mammootty was awesome. Bindupanikar, Sharafuddin, Jagadish, Grace Antony, Naseer etc. all the characters have been portrayed with such accuracy.
Actor Mammootty is gaining momentum. It goes without saying that Mammooka is a world wonder not only in beauty but also in her acting skills. Mammooka joining hands with new directors and writers and introducing new themes is a very decisive boost for Malayalam cinema. May the Mammootty company bring many more innovative and unique films. And let us see and wonder that Mammooka.
