Thiruvananthapuram: The complainant alleged that Perumbavoor MLA Eldos Kunnappilly took her to many places and tortured her. The woman, who is also a teacher, gave her statement in the Vanchiur court yesterday. They also told the Vanchiur court magistrate that they assaulted her in the car at Kovalam. They also told the court that they will give their statement to the Kovalam police today. The woman said that when she complained about the assault in the car, she was pressured to settle and was offered money. They also stated that they were assaulted inside the car.

The complaint is that he was beaten while traveling in a car in Kovalam. The complainant was not ready to testify earlier. If they stand firm on the complaint, a case will be taken against the MLA. The other day, a friend approached the police saying that he was not able to meet the young woman. After this, the complainant directly reached the police station. They were found in Neyyatinkara while investigating the complaint that the complainant was missing. The Neyyatinkara police were going to Kovalam with the woman after she told that she was under pressure and scared. Eldos Kunnapally MLA responded that he was not aware of the incident and let the police investigate.

The incident related to the case took place on the 14th of last month. The woman, who is a teacher, complained that Eldos Kunnappilly beat her up in the car near the suicide point in Kovalam. The complaint given to the city police commissioner was handed over to the Kovalam police. Although she was summoned twice to give a statement, the woman’s position was that she would give a detailed statement after consulting her relatives.

In the meantime, the friend lodged a complaint with the Vanchiyur police saying that the woman was missing. While the investigation was going on, the woman came directly to the Kovalam police station yesterday evening. The complainant told the police that she was first in Kanyakumari and then going to Madurai. The complainant was not ready to give her statement yesterday due to travel fatigue. He informed that he will be present today.

The police informed that they will decide to file a case against the MLA after taking his statement. Later the woman appeared at Vanchiyur station. The woman was produced before the magistrate on a missing complaint and released. The woman hails from Aluva and is a school teacher in Thiruvananthapuram. Yesterday, Eldos Kunnapally responded that he did not know about the incident and asked the police to investigate.
