The turning point in the case was the complaint that the woman, a native of Kadawantra, was missing. Kochi Police Commissioner Ch. Nagaraju said.
The subsequent investigation revealed that a woman had also been sacrificed under Kaladi. The woman went missing from Kadavantra on September 27. During the investigation, the woman was found in pieces. It was found that the human sacrifice was from those arrested in the incident.
