Paris Hilton speaks out about sexual abuse
It’s a topic that Paris Hilton (41) has never addressed before. It’s about incredible things that she experienced during her school days. It’s about sexual abuse!
In a video of “The New York Times” describes the reality star now shocking details about things that are said to have happened at the Provo Canyon School in the US state of Utah. “Very late at night – like 3 or 4 in the morning – they brought me and other girls into this room and gave us a medical exam,” he said Hilton.
According to the hotel heiress, this was definitely not a doctor. “It was different employees who put us on the table and put their fingers inside us. And I don’t know what they did…”.
At the time, her parents sent Paris to Provo Canyon School Utah because they could no longer control their daughter back home in New York.
Hilton spent a year at the facility, describing more horrifying details: “Between sleep deprivation and heavy medication, I didn’t understand what was happening. I was forced to lie down on a padded table, spread my legs…. I cried while they held me. They just said, ‘Shut up. Be quiet. Stop fighting back’.”
“This has been a recurring experience not only for me but for other #survivors as well,” she wrote on Twitter. “I was raped and I am crying as I write this because no one, especially a child, should be sexually abused. My childhood was stolen from me and it kills me that this is still happening to other innocent children.”
It’s the first time Paris Hilton has spoken out about sexual abuse at school. In the 2021 YouTube documentary This Is Paris, she accused staff of emotionally, physically and psychologically abusing her through verbal attacks.
In recent years, she has repeatedly campaigned for the closure of the boarding school in Utah and fought for more victims of abuse. Last year, Hilton appeared in a Utah court to testify against the Provo Canyon School.
Provo Canyon School was acquired by Universal Health Services in 2000 and declined to comment on allegations before the new owner. But the company has never commented on allegations of the past two decades. In 2020, Universal Health Services agreed to pay $117 million to compensate for alleged violations.
Several lawsuits are currently pending against the company and its centers. According to the New York Times, more than two dozen people allege in one lawsuit alone that they were sexually abused by a former medical director.
