Meta has officially announced the company’s new virtual/mixed reality mirror Quest Pro and it defines it as its most advanced product to date, by a wide margin compared to the previous products it launched in the field, and according to it this is a virtual reality (VR) device intended for use in all areas of life , from games to work.

The reflector includes ten virtual/mixed reality sensors and they are connected to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ processor which, according to the company, provides up to 50% more performance than the previous generation, also with the help of 12 gigabytes of working memory and 256 gigabytes of storage memory. To control the system, Meta integrated the Snapdragon 662 along with three cameras per controller to ensure 360 ​​degree movement capability in the virtual world.

Compared to the company’s virtual/mixed reality headset, the Quest 2, the VR LCD-based display offers 37% more pixels per inch and deeper color space support. In addition, the optical system was physically reduced by about 40%, and the resolution grew to 4K, 4 times more than the previous generation.

Meta also announced that it is cooperating with a number of companies, including Microsoft, so that they develop applications that are compatible with Quest Pro – including, of course, the application of the Teams conference calls.

Not only is this mirror defined by the company as its most advanced in the field to date, its cost will also be accordingly: $1,500, no less than $1,100 more compared to the Quest 2. The first shipments left the company on the 25th of this month.
