University of Bisha launches the activities of the first mental health forum under the slogan “Mental Health and Wellbeing for All”

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Bisha a. Dr.. Muhammad bin Mohsen Safhi, Vice Dean of the University of Bisha, d. Muhammad Al-Ajaim, yesterday evening, Tuesday, the first mental health forum, which will be held in cooperation with the National Center for Mental Health Promotion for a period of three days, in the presence of a number of university employees, male and female students.

Dr. explained. Muhammad Al-Ajaim, that the forum, which coincides with the World Mental Health Day 2022 AD, will witness several sessions, seminars and workshops, and it also includes providing psychological, family and social counseling, under the slogan “Mental Health and Well-being for All”, with the participation of a selection of specialists from members of the Commission University teaching.

He pointed out that the forum’s axes focus on introducing the concept of mental health, the importance of promoting community awareness of it, overcoming stress and its negative effects, and emphasizing the importance of raising the quality of individuals’ lives through mental health promotion programs.

For his part, said Dr. Muhammad Al-Qahtani, Supervisor of the Psychological and Social Counseling Unit at the University Counseling Center: The first day of the forum witnessed the presentation of a main session that included lectures on: mental health and its role in enhancing various aspects of life, mental health services between reality and expectations, and how does the structure of the brain reflect the lifestyle?, And psychological capital investment, in addition to a workshop entitled “How to deal with stress.”

Al-Qahtani added that the second day of the forum will witness the second session, which includes lectures and seminars on: ways and methods of promoting mental health in societies, and what psychological references expect from its treatment?, causes of personal disorders, and a workshop on “the happiness industry”, noting that consultations will be provided Psychological, family and social over the phone on the closing day of the forum.
