In the matter of sharing of Cauvery water, the Government of Tamil Nadu has started a project to connect the Cauvery-Gundaru rivers using Cauvery water.
There is no place in law to implement the project connecting the Cauvery-Gundaru rivers. I request that the Central Government should not give permission for the project connecting the Cauvery-Gundaru rivers as there is no place in the law. The Central Government should not allow the implementation of large-scale irrigation projects using surplus water in violation of the Cauvery Arbitration Award.
