I’m 47,763 new cases of Covid in Italy (yesterday there were 65,925, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 22.944.496 the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I am 69 (yesterday 80), for a total of 177,719 victims from February 2020.

The swabs and the scenario
I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) processed are 244,746, against 333,204 tests yesterday. The 19.5% positivity rate (approximation 19.51%); yesterday it was 19.8%.

The health system

This trend, if confirmed, would mean that we are facing an endemization of Covid – explains Giovanni Migliore, president of Fiaso -. The virus circulates a lot, but it encounters the immune defenses of the vast majority of the population who have received the vaccination and boosters or have already contracted the infection. This should not make us let our guard down because the elderly and the frail remain at risk and it is they who have complications. As for pediatric patients, there was a 38% drop in hospitalized minors in seven days.
