“It’s not funny”: this costume shocked the world and provoked outrage on the Internet

You all must have heard about the hit and infamous series that recently appeared on Netflix “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”. Since then, the character of the murderer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, stars on social networks and especially on TikTok.

Now, many boys who also watched the series chose to dress up as the killer on Halloween, wearing a shirt and pants, glasses, a wig that matched Dahmer’s hair and an identification plate with an inmate number. Photos of the disguised people began to circulate on the Internet and provoked great anger, to the point that many institutions banned the entry of those who would dress up as serial killers.

“For those who intend to dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer – this is not only disrespectful to the 17 families of the murdered, but also shows a disturbing side of the human soul,” wrote one Twitter user. Another tweeted: “Please don’t dress up as Dahmer on Halloween. Stop imitating a man who committed terrible crimes. He’s not a character in a book. He’s real!”. Another wrote: “We understand that there is a cool new series on Netflix, but this man was a real killer and he does not deserve praise.”

The fury of the netizens reached further, with many calling on the public to beat up those who dress up as serial killers. “If you’re planning to dress up like Dahmer for Halloween, we’ll catch you and show you why you shouldn’t,” wrote one of the angry people online.

An Instagram user named Sofia Casanova uploaded a photo of herself dressed as a cannibal, after another photo of the costume was removed from the platform. “Publishing the photo again because it was deleted for me. I worked too hard to be censored,” Casanova wrote.

Party producers have already anticipated a cure for the blow, and in order to prevent fights and awkward situations at parties, they published advance notices: “If someone arrives dressed like Jeffrey Dahmer, he will be kicked out and will not enter the party.”
