Russia to help organize evacuation of residents of Kherson region
“Following the appeal of the head of the Kherson region of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Saldo, the government decided to organize assistance for the departure of the inhabitants of the region [de Kherson] to other parts of the country »Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khousnullin told Russian television. “We will provide everyone with free accommodation and everything necessary”he said in a brief speech, without giving any indication of the number of people who could be affected.
“We have suggested that all residents of the Kherson region, who wish to protect themselves from missile strikes [ukrainiens]can travel to other regions” Russians, wrote earlier on Telegram Vladimir Saldo, urging:
Take your kids and go.
Mr. Saldo called on Russia to provide ” ugly “ necessary “to organize such work”saying for his part that he had proposed ” in the first place “ the inhabitants of the localities on the right bank of the Dnipro river, closer to the front line, to evacuate. These residents will be taken to the Russian regions closest to that of Kherson, he said, citing the Crimean peninsula, annexed in 2014 by Moscow, and the regions of Rostov, Krasnodar and Stavropol, in the south of the Russia.
This announcement comes as the Ukrainian army said Thursday that it had recaptured five localities in the region, after having already claimed Wednesday the capture of five other municipalities.
