The seventeenth edition of the Rome Film Festival has officially started. On the red carpet of the Capitoline event, in an Auditorium graced by the rain, many Italian and international celebrities. From James Ivory, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award tonight, to Anne Parillaud (Luc Besson’s unforgettable ‘Nikita’) to Louis Garrel.
In addition to the president of the Fondazione Cinema per Roma Gianluca Farinelli and the artistic director Paola Malanga, the protagonists of the opening film, ‘Il colibrì’, are at the forefront: director Francesca Archibugi, Pier Francesco Favino, Benedetta Porcaroli , Laura Morante, Kasia Smutniak, Massimo Ceccherini, Marco Mengoni (who wrote the soundtrack of the film).
Guests of the first evening of the event, among others, also the president of Anica Francesco Rutelli, Giulio Base and his wife Tiziana Rocca, Massimo Ferrero and the daughters of Luciano Pavarotti, whose documentary will precede tonight the screening of the film that gives football start of the competition.
