Microsoft has decided to say goodbye to the brand Office and include the office applications in the new application Microsoft 365which will take on a new look and add new features.
The technology company has announced the new Microsoft 365 application (different from the cloud platform with the same name), which “in the coming months”it will replace services currently available under the Office name: Office.com, the Office mobile ‘app’ and the Office for Windows ‘app’.
This name change, which includes a new icon, a new look and new features, will begin to materialize in November with Office.com, and will be completed in January with its arrival on mobile and Windows applications.
The change will be automaticas Microsoft has confirmed on the page of the new ‘app’, and will incorporate new templates, new modules to discover tools or anchor the most used and new ways of organizing jobs with custom labels, among other new features.
For Microsoft, the new Microsoft 365 ‘app’ is “the starting point to experience” with the included tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint y Outlookwhile the Microsoft 365 subscription gives you access to a cloud platform with more apps, more features, and more storage.
