Dell launches a 12-inch rugged tablet and an ergonomic rotating mouse. The new tablet will be available worldwide and in Israel towards the end of the year and its price has not yet been determined. The mouse will be available for purchase in Israel next month and its price will be about NIS 250. (its final price has not yet been determined)

Dell’s new tablet comes with a 12-inch screen, weighs 1.27 kg and has 12th generation Intel Core processors up to i7 with integrated Iris Xe graphics. The 7230 has a 16:10 aspect ratio display that now provides 13% more active screen area than previous generations and gives the 7230 Extreme the largest screen area on a 12-inch tablet in this category. Critical data can be viewed in direct sunlight with a brightness of up to 1200nits. In addition, the ability to touch with gloves allows optimal screen interactivity.
The tablet has 20 hours of battery life with Dual replaceable batteries for continuous operation without shutdown. Wi-Fi 6E capability with dual broadband support enables faster speeds, and simultaneous Wi-Fi, GPS and WWAN ports for faster and more efficient data sharing.
The new hardware also includes security of Dell TPM 2.0 ControlVault The pre-installed, infrared camera for Microsoft Windows Hello for facial recognition, and additional optional features such as a touch fingerprint reader, a removable SSD drive and a contactless smart card reader. The device has an insulation standard of IP65 for protection against the ingress of dust, dirt and water, resistance to falls from a height of up to 1.2 meters and the ability to work at temperatures from minus 28 degrees to 62 degrees Celsius.
Accessories can be added to the 7230 Rugged Extreme that create a critical balance between portability, ergonomics and durability. A detachable keyboard connects directly through the tablet’s double locking latches and enables a quick transition to a full keyboard experience. In addition, a pen that allows improving the interactivity of the screen, a rotating wrist strap and a shoulder strap made of durable and cleanable materials, a magnetic mount that allows users to connect the tablet to any wall or metal surface and a rigid carrying handle that easily supports mobility.
