Actor Anoop Menon said that he should have done the movie Seventh Day in which Prithviraj played the lead role. The actor disclosed this in an interview given to Red FM Malayalam. Anoop revealed that he backed out of the film due to a problem with the producer and that the film will be done by Raju later. The actor said that there are many such films.

The screenplay of the movie is also written by Anoop Menon. After Padma, Anup Menon will write the screenplay for Varaal. The film released in theaters today (October 14).
