Pope Francis has released a short message on his Twitter page highlighting the power of prayer that all the activities of the Church were born from prayer and through thanksgiving.

In support of the Pope’s Twitter message about the power of prayer, Pope John XXIII’s organization is holding a day of prayer, meditation and fasting to emphasize Russia-Ukraine dialogue on Tuesday, October 15.

The organizers believe that religious faith, spiritual growth, and the importance of unity can be emphasized through peace initiatives such as prayers, meditation, and fasting, and that peaceful dialogue is necessary to recover from the ongoing war and the consequences of conflicts.

Giovanni Paolo Ramonda of the Don Benzi movement said that no one, rich and powerful, has the right to lead a war, and those who lead a war are not aware of the consequences, the dangers and the depth of suffering.

The organization of Pope John XXIII emphasizes that this day is being observed as a preparation for the European Days of Peace, October 21 and 23, and that we should emphasize beneficial dialogues of all humanity through fasting, the first tool of non-violent action.

The Pope John Paul XXIII Organization has been operating in Ukraine since March 2022 and has been working with 500 volunteers to help nearly 1000 Ukrainians immigrate to Italy and provide humanitarian basic material assistance.
