Free visa for Haiya card holders to perform Umrah and visit Madinah

Doha: Saudi Arabia will provide an opportunity for football fans to perform Umrah and visit Medina to enjoy the upcoming FIFA World Cup football matches in Qatar. Khalid Al Shammari, Assistant Director General of the Visa General Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, said that holders of the Haya Card, a fan pass issued by Qatar to World Cup fans, will be granted a free visa.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia has already announced that visa holders will be given visas to visit Saudi Arabia. After this, Umrah pilgrimage and Madinah visit are also given an opportunity. Visa is granted to Haya card holders completely free of cost. But medical insurance must be taken from the visa platform. The validity of these visas will be from November 11 to December 18. This means fans can enter Saudi Arabia ten days before the start of the World Cup matches.

Football fans can stay in Saudi Arabia till the last day of the tournament. Saudi Arabia allows Haya card holders a multiple entry visa that allows them to leave the country and come back as many times as they want. There is no requirement that those arriving in this way must have entered Qatar before entering Saudi Arabia. It has been informed that Oman will also grant visa to Haya card holders.
