A major change has been made in the Indian team’s uniform for the T20 World Cup cricket tournament.
In the ongoing T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team is playing in a blue uniform (jersey).

Many have questioned the change without knowing the reason behind it. Why does the new jersey have just one star instead of the usual three?
The Indian cricket team’s jerseys usually have three stars, representing three World Cup victories over the years.
They are 1983 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup.
However, this time the Indian players will be sporting only one star uniform during the tournament, a nod to their concurrent T20 World Cup title triumph in the inaugural tournament in 2007.
In the T20 World Cup 2022, the Indian team led by captain Rohit Sharma will face Pakistan on October 23.
