SNCF: the Sud-Rail union “considers the renewable strike” after the mobilization of Tuesday

by time news

The specter of a renewable strike in transport. After the day of mobilization for wages scheduled for Tuesday, SNCF users could have train problems as the All Saints holidays approach. Invited this Sunday morning on the BFMTV set, Fabien Villedieu, Sud-Rail union representative, argued that his union was considering “going on renewable strike”.

“We will hold general assemblies and we will propose the renewable strike. If the railway workers tell us: to get salary increases, you have to go further than a 24-hour day, we will go on a renewable strike, ”he said.

Wages and purchasing power

Sud-Rail, the third representative union at the SNCF, called for Tuesday with the CGT to mobilize to demand “a salary increase” but also to oppose the government’s requisition of strikers from TotalEnergies and Esso- ExxonMobil. The union also wants “the broadening of the mobilization on wages and purchasing power”.

Regarding Tuesday’s mobilization day, it is “still a little early” to determine the extent of the disruptions in transport, according to Fabien Villedieu. But “one thing is certain, we are in a dynamic and a positive dynamic. First at the SNCF, but not only. There are a number of sectors which are massively calling for a strike on Tuesday and Wednesday, ”he insisted on BFMTV.
