In this case, a case was filed against this action of Apple in the Sao Paulo Provincial Court of Brazil. Already in 2021, Apple paid a fine of Rs 1.5 crore for selling an iPhone without a charger in that country. Now it’s selling iPhones as is. The judge who heard the case said that the charger does not save copper, zinc and tin to protect the environment.

A harsh judge on hearing this answer said there are other ways to make electronic devices eco-friendly. A USB Type-C port can be provided. Leaving it alone and selling phones without chargers is an insult to the customer. A 2nd product must be purchased for the purchased item to work. Customers who have sold an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 within the last two years must provide chargers. He said if he plans to continue doing business in Brazil, he should include a charger with the iPhone.
