Deputy Head of the National Assembly of Russia and former President and Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedevwarned Israel today (Monday) against supplying weapons to Ukraine and wrote on his Telegram account that this is “a very reckless move, it will destroy all relations between our countries. Supplying weapons will symbolize Israel’s recognition of Bandera and Shukhevich as heroes.”

Medvedev’s words come after government officials called for military aid to Ukraine. Minister of the Diaspora, Nachman Shaywrote last night on his Twitter account that “Iran is transferring ballistic missiles to Russia. The sufficiency of where Israel should stand in this bloody conflict is over. There is no more room for self-righteousness. The time has come for Ukraine to receive military aid as the USA and NATO countries do.”
About a week ago, Chairman Meretz called, Zhava Galleon, to hand over Iron Dome batteries to the Ukrainian army. “At the beginning of the war, Ukraine asked the Americans to equip themselves with an Iron Dome. In Israel they opposed. It’s time to remove this resistance. This is the moral thing to do when civilians are targeted by Iranian missiles because of the personal madness of a bloodthirsty tyrant.”
Earlier this week it was reported that Israel refused Kyiv’s request to receive air defense systems, such as Iron Dome and Barak 8, apparently out of fear of officials in Jerusalem to avoid a situation where moves are made that “anger” Vladimir Putin, who may in response decide to limit Israeli activity in Syria. However, the New York Times revealed that in Jerusalem they provided Ukraine with basic information about the Iranian drones that Russia began to use as part of the war. It was also reported that a private Israeli company provides the Ukrainian army with satellite photographs documenting the deployment of Russian forces.
According to the reports, so far several attacks have been carried out using these tools, including an attack on Kyiv, and several setbacks have been recorded – including a planned attack on the city of Oman, when thousands of Israelis were staying there. Last month it was reported that Ukraine was able to shoot down an Iranian suicide drone for the first time.
About a month ago, Ukrainian President Zelensky attacked Israel during an interview with the French television network TV5Monde and said that he was “shocked” by Israel’s lack of support: “I didn’t understand what happened. I don’t understand why they can’t supply us with anti-aircraft missiles, Israel didn’t supply us with anything. Nothing. Zero.”
“I do not blame the leaders. I state the facts: there were discussions. You can see Russia’s influence on Israel. I understand that they need to protect their country, but according to my intelligence they continue to export weapons to other countries,” the Ukrainian president added.
