Sivagangai: The women police arrested a 14-year-old boy for sexually harassing a girl by tying her hands and feet near Ilayayankudi in Sivagangai district.
A 12-year-old girl studying in class 7 in a village near Ilayayankudi was bought a parotta by a 14-year-old boy from the same village on Oct. 16 at 2:00 pm. Then he took him to the public toilet opposite the house. There he tied her hands and feet and sexually harassed the girl.
The boy ran away leaving the rope tied around his hands and feet while his mother searched for the girl. The girl told her mother what had happened. Women Inspector Vimala, SI, Gangadevi and the police arrested the boy under the POCSO Prevention Act.
