OKLAHOMA ∙ Will Oklahoma, a staunchly Republican state, drop an incumbent Republican governor in the midterm elections – a poll shows Democratic candidate Joey Hoff leading Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt.

The survey was conducted by Ascent Action, a political consulting firm based in Oklahoma.

49 percent of those surveyed supported the Democratic governor and candidate, while 42 percent supported the Republican candidate. 8 percent of voters remained neutral.

Oklahoma’s current Republican governor has taken a strong stance against abortion.

Joey is a person who switched from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party. The common people of Oklahoma support incumbent Governor Kevin. Kevin is also a popular leader. Joy has a good influence among the youth but the majority of voters over 75 support Kevin. Political observers estimate that Kevin’s support will increase as the election approaches.
