Nissan X Trail India Launch Details

Nissan India has showcased three international models – Nissan Juke, Nissan Qashqai and Nissan X-Trail. Nissan has announced that two of these models will be launched in the coming weeks. A study is being conducted to see if these models will be suitable for the Indian market.

Making a re-entry into the Indian market after eight years, the Nissan X-Trail has been updated on several fronts. Accordingly, the new X-Trail model will be available in petrol and hybrid engine options. Its 1.5-litre petrol engine churns out 161bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. This car has a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

The hybrid version will be called “E-Power”. It is powered by a three-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. When the petrol engine is running, the battery is charged from the wheels. The variant is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive options.

Its front-wheel drive model churns out 201 hp of power and 330 Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive variant is capable of churning out 210 hp of power and 525 Nm of torque. As far as styling is concerned, the model gets a V-motion front grille, bumper-mounted LED headlamps.

The new Nissan X-Trail model is expected to be launched in the Indian market by next year. The car is also expected to be launched with two seating configurations for five and seven passengers.
