Then, Tuesday, October 18, when Emmanuel Macron received the teenager’s family at the Elysée Palace to assure her “of all [s]a solidarity and [s]we support”, delaying his memorial luncheon in honor of Pierre Mendès France. The Elysée made it known shortly after, anticipating the session of questions to the government.
In the process, the news item took a political turn at the Palais-Bourbon, on the initiative of the National Rally (RN) and the Republicans (LR). Attracting indignant disapproval from the left and the majority, deputies Eric Pauget (LR) and Marine Le Pen (RN) dismissed the executive for its impotence in the fight against illegal immigration, including the far right. has been making its honey for years.
