Diwali sale of weed tied in Erode textile market…Rs.15 crore trade was held in 2 days!

Traders said retail sales up to 70 percent and wholesale sales up to 40 percent on the occasion of Diwali in Erode textile market.

The Erode Textile Market is held at Panneerselvam Park, Opposite Head Post Office and Asokaram every week from Monday night till Tuesday afternoon. Business is up to Rs 1 crore on normal days and up to Rs 5 crore on special days. In this situation, with 6 days left for Diwali festival, Diwali sales in Erode textile market have started to slow down.

In this situation, hundreds of traders from various districts of Tamil Nadu gathered in the textile market last Monday night and bought clothes at wholesale prices. Similarly, traders from outside states of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana also came to the textile market held at night. On the eve of Diwali festival, many new fabric offerings have been launched in the textile market. New textile types have been introduced especially suitable for all sections from children to adults. Due to this, the traders competed and took away the textiles.

Erode textile market has been busy with Diwali sales for the last 4 days. Retail trade is booming as compared to wholesale trade. Textile traders said that 70 percent of the retail trade and 40 percent of the wholesale trade took place in the textile market. Especially in the last 2 days alone, the traders happily said that clothes worth Rs.15 crores have been sold.
