Four persons have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and gang-rape of a woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. A search is on for one of the five-member gang. Last day, a 40-year-old Delhi native was found dead on Ashramam Road in Ghaziabad. The police immediately arrived and admitted them to the hospital.

Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swadhi Maliwal tweeted that the woman’s health condition is still critical and the iron rod inserted in the woman’s private part by the accused during the rape has not yet been removed. The police said that the accused have previous enmity with the woman. There was a property dispute between them.

On Sunday night, the girl was abducted by a five-member gang while she was waiting for a bus to return to Delhi after attending a friend’s birthday party in Ghaziabad. The police said that five people gang-raped them for two days and used iron rods in their private parts.

On Tuesday, the woman was found tied in a sack by the roadside. The Delhi Commission for Women has sent a notice to the Ghaziabad Police seeking the details of the accused.
