After three years and seven months, the Central District Court decided today (Tuesday) on the release of the founder of “Telegrass”, Amos Silver to house arrest with electronic shackles. The prosecutor’s request has a delay of execution for 48 hours.

Attorneys Itai Bar Oz and Nitzan Beilin, who represent Silver on behalf of the public defender’s office, said: “After three years and seven months from the moment of Amos’ arrest in Ukraine, the court decided on his release, and now he will be able to conduct his defense in the main case when he is released. We are happy about the decision to release him, even though he should have been released much earlier.”

As a reminder, the indictment filed against Silver includes the following offenses: managing a criminal organization, brokering the trade in dangerous drugs, trafficking in dangerous drugs, exposing a minor to dangerous drugs and extortion by threats, all of which were committed within the framework of a criminal organization. This indictment joined the series of indictments filed in the Telegram case, in which 28 defendants were prosecuted as managers and employees who operated the Telegram groups that operated on the “Telegram” platform.
