World No. 13 Prannoy defeated China’s No. 19 Jun Peng Zhao 21-13, 22-20 while No. 8 Lakshya defeated Indonesia’s No. 6 Anthony Jinting 21-16, 21-12. Saina Nehwal lost to China’s Yi Man Zhang 21-17, 19-21, 21-11.

The pair of Satwik and Chirag beat Min Hyuk Kang-Seung Jae Seo of South Korea 21-15, 21-19.
