The Drinking Water Board has informed that the Chennai Kodunkaiyur Waste Water Treatment Plant will not operate from today till the 22nd as maintenance work is being carried out.

Maintenance work is going on at Kodunkaiyur Waste Water Treatment Plant. Due to this, from 6:00 am today to 11:00 pm on the 22nd, Kannadasan Nagar, Katumpadi Amman Nagar and Muthamil Nagar sewage treatment plants will not function.
Therefore, if there is a situation where waste water is overflowing at machine inlets in Thandaiarpet areas, steps have been taken to discharge the waste water through suction machines for emergency purposes.
