After the taxation of superprofits defended this summer, then the temporary increase in taxation on superdividends adopted last week in public session against the advice of the government,rebelsof the majority have every intention of continuing their fight in this field of taxation.

In an amendment tabled to the Social Security financing bill (PLFSS) examined from this Thursday in plenary session, 26 Renaissance deputies propose to abolish exemptions from social security contributions for salaries between 2.5 and 3.5 minimum wage. These exemptions – which correspond to a reduction of 1.8 points in the rate of family allowance contributions – had been put in place under François Hollande, in 2016, as part of the responsibility pact.

Unsurprisingly, the measure is notably carried by the emblematic figure of the left wing of the majority, the deputy Sacha Houlié. But also the deputy Marc Ferracci, economist and friend of Emmanuel Macron…
