Uttaramerur: Orakatuppet, under Uttaramerur union, is near Chengalpattu in Kadakodi, Kanchipuram district. There are 20 Irula families living in this village.
For them, 15 years ago, the government had built a set of houses. As the construction work of these houses was not carried out properly, the buildings of the houses are now weakened.
Also, the roof of the house is damaged and water drips inside the house during rainy season. Therefore, the residents of the area have demanded that the concerned authorities should take action to rehabilitate the apartment houses in the area.
