Kuwait City: Al Shabaab FC became the champions in the 9th Sevens tournament organized by Shifa Aljazeera Soccer Kerala Kefac. Shabab edged past Young Shooters Abbasia in a thrilling final that went to a tie breaker. Thiruvananthapuram FC came third in the 18-team competition of Kefac.
Flyers Farwania won the Fairplay Trophy organized by Soccer Kerala in memory of Muneer who passed away prematurely. Shifa Aljazeera Medical Group Vice Chairman Muntazir Majeed inaugurated in the presence of Kefac President Biju Johny and Vice President Siddique at Mishrif Stadium.
The winners were presented with trophies by Chief Guests Zubair Musaliarakat (General Manager Shifa Al Jazeera Farwaniya), Varsha Ravi (Human Resource Head Shifa Al Jazeera Farwaniya), Lucia Williams (Deputy General Manager Alnahil Intel Clinic, Jaleeb Al Shuuq) and Ressi Williams (Brand Manager Gerry Butstur Motors).
