The match against Venezuela was Di Maria’s 120th cap for Argentina. He has scored 24 goals for the country. Made his debut for Argentina in September 2008. Two years later he became one of the main players in their World Cup squad. He scored the decisive goal in last year’s Copa America final when Argentina beat Brazil 1-0. The 2022 World Cup will be Di Maria’s fourth in his career.
