Neykarapatti–Guruvappa School won the champion title in the Dindigul District Athletics Tournament held at Palani Neykarapatti Guruvappa High School.
In this competition, Arul Kumar, 18, a student of this school, won the title of champion in the 100m, 200m and 400m races in the under-19 age group.
Mathesh, 16, won first place in the 3000m race in the 17-year-old category. Rajkumar 16 finished second in high jump. Vignesh Kumar14 got second place in 200 m, 400 m in 14 years race. In high jump, Hariharasuthan 14 got second position.
At the age of 19, Sathyajyoti won first place in the 18, 400m, 400m hurdles and second place in the 200m. Manjula Devi 18 won first place in 3000m, 1500m and third in 100m steeplechase. Navina 17 won second position in 400 m hurdles. Janapriya 16, Hemalatha 17, Manjula Devi 18, Sathyajyothi 18, Navina 17 won first place in 400m, 1600m relay race.
School secretary Rajkumar, school committee member Rajagautham, headmaster Karpusamy, assistant headmaster Sivasubramani, physical education director Ravikumar felicitated the prize-winning students.
