Naam Tamilar Party chief coordinator Seeman has insisted that a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh should be given to the family of a Tamil Nadu fisherman who was shot by the Indian Navy. He has said in his statement that:-
I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news that Anbuthambi Veerakumar, a fisherman from Mayiladuthurai, was seriously injured in the firing by the Indian Navy on Tamil Nadu fishermen who were fishing in the Gulf of Mannar.
So far when the fishermen of Tamil Nadu are attacked by the Sri Lankan Navy, the Indian Navy, which is the 4th most powerful army in the world, has failed to stop it even once, but the Tamils are the citizens of this country. Isn’t it? raises the question in the heart of every Tamilian.
Therefore, the Central and State Governments should take action to immediately arrest the Indian Navy personnel who shot at the Tamil Nadu fisherman for attempted murder and provide Rs.
